COBIT Licensing 

 

Licensing and Use of COBIT 2019

Individuals who purchase COBIT from ISACA or an authorized reseller have the ability to use and or dispose of that particular copy.  Licensing is required for training, consulting and commercial uses.  To make inquiries regarding licensure or use, please contact the ISACA Intellectual Property Department at ipinfo@isaca.org.

Individual Use

Each individual that purchases or downloads a COBIT 2019 publication is allowed to use it for his/her own personal purposes.  A book purchase or download does not provide license to create training materials or train, reproduce, reprint, share or display COBIT 2019 publications or related content.

Commercial Use

When content from COBIT 2019 is sold, given to third parties and or used in commercial works or products (such as software products, tools, guidance audit, advisory or consulting services) an annual license from ISACA is required. Please contact ipinfo@isaca.org for more information.

Academic Institutions

When content from COBIT 2019 is used in training and education programs offered by degree-granting colleges or universities, a license from ISACA is required. To be eligible, the academic institution must offer an education curriculum culminating in the achievement of an associate’s degree or higher.

Academic institutions may be granted permission to use materials in the classroom by contacting ipinfo@isaca.org

Accredited Trainers and Training Organizations

Trainers and training organizations who offer COBIT 2019 training courses must be accredited through ISACA’s partner, APMG. For more information please visit our Accredited Training Program page.
