Rolling Meadows, IL, USA (5 April 2005)—Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Norway as a united nation, the 33rd annual International Conference will feature a keynote presentation by Børge Brende, minister of trade and industry in Norway and chairman of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development. Hosted by ISACA®, the conference will be held from 19-22 June 2005 at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel in Oslo.
Designed for IT governance, control, security and assurance professionals, the International Conference features renowned presenters and sessions on risk management, cybersecurity, cyberterrorism, and key threats and vulnerabilities. Delegates from more than 45 nations will attend the conference, which is divided into four streams:

IT Governance—Designed to provide perspective to information systems and technology issues at the strategic level, this stream helps managers make well-informed planning and resource decisions.

IT Assurance—This stream helps IT assurance professionals identify technological risks to business and operational environments and learn how to choose and use relevant controls to mitigate those risks.

Information Security Management—Designed for information security managers, this stream provides a clear description of the key elements of effective security management practices and programs.

IT Business—This stream focuses on IT as a key element of important business processes and helps participants learn how to improve the bottom line, gain competitive advantage and sustain growth through information-related technologies.
ISACA’s Annual General Meeting of the Membership and Board of Directors meeting will be held at the conference, as well as pre- and post-conference workshops on COBIT, computer forensic analysis and investigation, application control, and auditing web application security.
The IT Governance Institute will sponsor “IT Value: Delivering on the Promise,” a half-day workshop on 22 June moderated by Paul Williams, a past president of ISACA. It will feature a case study from ING and answer the following questions:

Registration fees are US $1,600 for the International Conference, US $450 for one-day workshops and US $850 for two-day workshops.
