ISACA’s New Training Courses Provide Educational Opportunities for IT Professionals in Atlanta

Rolling Meadows, Illinois, USA (25 January 2012)—ISACA, a nonprofit association of more than 95,000 IT governance professionals in 160 countries, kicks off 2012 with new course offerings that remain true to the association’s former Training Weeks, while meeting the need for shorter, yet in-depth and intense educational events on audit, security and governance topics. Throughout the USA, 11 Training Courses will be offered as four-day events, and three will be held over two days.

ISACA will host four-day training featuring IT assurance, security, governance and risk topics in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, from 27-30 March 2012 at MicroTek. The Atlanta Training will feature three courses:

  • Fundamentals of IT Audit and Assurance will provide the essential components of an information system audit, including techniques to execute them, and will identify controls and objectives to understand and mitigate organizational risk.
  • IT Audit and Assurance Practices is aligned with the CISA job practice areas and will focus on relevant IT governance and management issues, including how to develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans, audit application controls and support IT service delivery.
  • COBIT:  Strategies for Implementing IT Governance will provide an understanding of COBIT 4.1 and how to implement COBIT in the enterprise.

“ISACA has re-energized its training program with new opportunities to gain a solid foundation in information security, IT audit or enterprise governance of IT,” said Ken Vander Wal, CISA, CPA, international president of ISACA. “Attendees will leave with valuable tools and the expertise they need to protect and govern their enterprise and help ensure trust in and value from their information systems.”
