Rolling Meadows, Illinois, USA (25 September 2012)—ISACA, a nonprofit association of more than 100,000 business and IT professionals in 180 countries, is partnering with Deloitte & Touche to offer an in-depth training course, titled Network Security Auditing, in Washington DC, from 15-18 October 2012.
Attendees of Network Security Auditing will gain a deeper understanding of how to protect the network perimeter of the enterprise. Through a range of practical presentations and demonstrations, attendees will learn how to:
- Evaluate risk from an external perspective
- Describe the purposes of a tiered network perimeter architecture
- Analyze how a hacker views a target
- Acquire baseline knowledge of the purpose and functionality of firewalls
- Explain features and functionality of the major firewall brands (Cisco, Check Point, etc.)
- Receive hands-on experience reviewing configuration files for firewall rule sets
- Prepare to evaluate digital risk and various approaches for managing vulnerabilities
