 ISACA and Deloitte Offer Cloud Computing Training for Auditors 

Rolling Meadows, IL, USA (20 February 2014)—As more enterprises look to the cloud for services, ISACA, a nonprofit association of more than 110,000 information systems (IS) security, assurance and governance professionals in 180 countries, is working with Deloitte & Touche LLP to offer an in-depth, four-day training course, titled “Cloud Computing: Seeing Through the Clouds—What the IT Auditor Needs to Know,” in Houston, Texas, USA, 14-17 April 2014.

This specialized training is an opportunity for auditors to develop an understanding about cloud computing technology to add value and better advise their enterprises on the risks of cloud computing, as well as controls needed to benefit from it. Through a range of practical presentations and demonstrations, attendees will learn how to:

  • Understand the fundamentals and impact of cloud computing
  • Describe the different types of cloud computing architectures and services
  • Describe some of the challenges in adopting a cloud architecture
  • Identify the top security threats to cloud computing
  • Understand how the risks associated with cloud computing vary from the traditional application service provider model
  • Develop an audit plan based on the different services of cloud services
