 ISACA and Deloitte Offer New Training on Social Media Risks for IT Professionals on East Coast 

Rolling Meadows, Illinois, USA (29 May 2014)—ISACA, a nonprofit association of more than 115,000 IT security, assurance and governance professionals in 180 countries, and Deloitte & Touche LLP will offer a new, in-depth, four-day training course, titled Social Media in Your Enterprise: Mitigating the Risks and Reaping the Benefits, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, 21-24 July 2014.

Enterprises are benefiting from using social media for many aspects of business. But, with those benefits come risks. ISACA and Deloitte have developed this new, concentrated course to help attendees understand and navigate the social media landscape and discover pitfalls and risks associated with it. Tools and techniques to mitigate risks will be presented that can be implemented immediately when attendees return to their enterprises. Through a range of practical presentations and demonstrations, attendees also will learn how to:

  • Define social media—it uses, benefits, and impact on business
  • Explain various social media strategies, including outsourcing, business models, technology and policies
  • Describe the current ethics and compliance issues associated with social media
  • Use social media analytics
  • Plan and perform a social media audit
