 ISACA and Deloitte Offer Privacy and Data Protection Training in Los Angeles 

Rolling Meadows, Illinois, USA (17 January 2014)—ISACA, a nonprofit association of more than 110,000 information systems (IS) security, assurance and governance professionals in 180 countries, is working with Deloitte & Touche LLP to offer an in-depth, four-day training course, titled “An Introduction to Privacy and Data Protection,” in Los Angeles, California, USA, 3-6 February 2014.

At the ISACA- and Deloitte-hosted course, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the risk and value of personal information, and the consequences of privacy failures. The course will explore how organizations can govern, manage, and protect regulated and high-value data to manage the risk of non-compliance, information misuse, unauthorized access, and loss. Through a range of practical presentations and demonstrations, attendees will learn how to:

  • Analyze the global landscape of privacy and data protection regulations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of web privacy and security issues
  • Explain workplace privacy requirements
  • Describe identity theft and prepare an incident response plan
  • Describe data leakage and its impact on the organization
  • Plan and conduct a privacy audit
