 Andre Pitkowski of Brazil Elected International Vice President of ISACA 

ISACA Announces 2015-2016 Board of Directors

Rolling Meadows, IL, USA (8 June 2015)—ISACA, a global association serving 140,000 information systems professionals in 180 countries, announced its 2015-2016 Board of Directors in Brussels, Belgium, today. Andre Pitkowski, CGEIT, CRISC, OCTAVE, CRMA, ISO27kLA, ISO31kLA, COBIT 5 Foundation Trainer, principal consultant APIT Consultoria de Informática Ltd., Brazil, was elected international vice president of ISACA.

Founded in 1969, ISACA provides knowledge, standards, networking and career development for information systems audit, assurance, cybersecurity, risk, privacy and governance professionals. ISACA offers the Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX), a comprehensive set of cybersecurity resources, and COBIT, a business framework to govern enterprise technology.

“Being selected to serve ISACA’s Board of Directors as international vice president is one of the most exciting professional challenges of my career,” said Pitkowski. “It is a privilege, and I look forward to contributing to ISACA’s strategy to achieve major goals in Latin American countries and globally. I believe it does not matter how many years of experience you have; there always will be a lot to learn. I see this as a great opportunity for that, during the next year.”

Pitkowski also is CSX Liaison for Brazil, a member of ISACA’s Framework Committee and subject matter expert for COBIT 5 and COBIT 5 for Risk. He is president of the ISACA Sao Paulo Chapter.

With 25 years’ experience, Pitkowski manages projects for risk assessment on critical assets, risk maps and IT projects for IT governance and compliance (using COBIT) at national and international companies. He frequently presents on COBIT at events worldwide and is a professor of post-graduate and MBA courses at universities in Brazil.

Pitkowski is a civil engineer with an MBA in IT governance from the Foundation IPT (Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnologicas de São Paulo). He is also OCTAVE certified by the Software Engineering Institute of Carnegie Melon University, ISO31000 Lead Auditor certified and CRMA—IIA Brazil.
