 ISACA and Deloitte Introduce New Virtual Training 

The First Will Explore the Data Analytics to Support Risk

Rolling Meadows, Illinois, USA (10 June 2015)—The convenience of a virtual classroom is becoming a must-have as schedules get busier and demand increases by global participants who want in-person opportunities for training. To answer this need, global IT association ISACA and Deloitte LLP have developed virtual instructor led training (VILT), which offers online personal interaction between students and an experienced instructor. The first of these in-depth courses is Analytics in Action: Utilizing Data Analytics to Support Enterprise Risk,” which will be held 9, 16, 23 and 30 July 2015.

The emergence of analytics to improve audit quality is on trend as one of the most useful audit tools available. This new, virtual course will give participants the tools and techniques to integrate analytics into their own enterprise. A Deloitte instructor will facilitate the session in a collaborative environment with industry peers. 

Through a range of practical presentations and demonstrations, attendees of the four, two-hour sessions will learn:

  • A definition of analytics—common uses, benefits, impact in business, risks and controls
  • An understanding technologies used to perform effective data analytics
  • An explanation of various uses of analytics
  • How to identify where analytics can be effectively leveraged
  • How to plan and perform an audit utilizing analytics concepts

The ISACA/Deloitte virtual instructor led training course registration, which includes course materials, is US $500 for ISACA members and US $650 for nonmembers. Participants are eligible to earn up to eight continuing professional education (CPE) hours for the two-hour, weekly sessions, which are held over four weeks.
