 ISACA to Offer Training for IS Auditors in Orlando 

Event addresses organizational risks and how to manage them

Rolling Meadows, Illinois, USA (29 January 2015)—Fundamentals of IS Audit and Assurance” will be offered 16-19 March 2015 by ISACA, a nonprofit association of more than 115,000 information systems (IS) security, assurance and governance professionals in 180 countries. The in-depth, four-day training course will be held in Orlando, Florida, USA, simultaneously with ISACA’s North America CACS Conference 2015.

Fundamentals of IS Audit and Assurance Training Week course will introduce the essential components and steps needed to perform an information systems audit. Attendees will gain an understanding of IT risk and related controls, how they impact an enterprise and its information assets, and how IS audit and assurance play a key role in the overall governance process. Through a range of practical presentations and demonstrations, attendees will learn how to:

  • Apply IS audit and assurance standards, guidelines, tools and techniques
  • Perform a risk-based IS audit
  • Understand the impact and considerations for local, state, country, international and industry regulations in determining the audit approach

Marc Goodman, a global strategist, author and consultant, will present the opening keynote at North America CACS.
