Candidates can connect with organizations hiring for IT assurance, governance and cyber security positions
Rolling Meadows, IL, USA (10 August 2016)—Technology and cybersecurity skills gaps persist, with 94 percent of those hiring saying will be difficult to find skilled candidates, according to ISACA’s 2016 Cybersecurity Snapshot. To help IT professionals seeking jobs and employers seeking qualified candidates connect, global IT association ISACA is hosting its first Online Career Fair. The event will take place 15 September 2016, from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. EDT (UTC -4).
Job seekers of any level of IT experience are encouraged to participate at no cost. Candidates can connect with organizations hiring for a wide variety of IT assurance, governance and cybersecurity positions. More than 600 participants have already registered. Employers can choose from three packages to purchase virtual booths to reach the pool of candidates. Attendees will have opportunities to chat with employers and network with each other.
“ISACA is committed to narrowing the skills gap, by training IT and cybersecurity professionals and connecting them with employers who critically need their skill sets,” said Theresa Grafenstine, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, CIA, CGAP, CGMA, CPA, vice-chair of ISACA’s Board of Directors and the inspector general of the U.S. House of Representatives (House) (USA). “Finding the right candidate can be challenging. ISACA’s online career fair helps make critical connections between talented candidates and great employers.”
The Online Career Fair is part of ISACA’s Career Centre, which offers free resources to build and improve careers, such as videos on building your personal brand and networking skills, career tips, resume/CV writing, career coaching and social networking profile development.
Registration for the event and employer options for a virtual booth can be found at www.isaca.org/jobfair.
