Two-day Virtual Expert-led Training provides options for learners’ schedules
Rolling Meadows, IL, USA (16 February 2018) — Over a quarter of US enterprises can’t fill open cybersecurity positions, according to ISACA’s State of Cybersecurity 2017 research. Additionally, close to 70 percent of hiring enterprises require a security certification for open positions. To help fills these gaps and diversify its learning solutions, ISACA will launch a Virtual Instructor-Led Training on Cybersecurity Fundamentals, to be held 26-27 February 2018.
This two-day, eight-hour course will let attendees learn from a world-recognized facilitator about modern cybersecurity standards, guidelines and practices. The schedule offers a practical solution for learners’ schedules and time for independent study after each four-hour session. Additional preparation materials each day provide further depth on the topics discussed.
Participants will be taught by Richard Hollis, CISM, CPP, CRISC, an information security governance, risk and compliance expert with more than 30 years of experience. Attendees should have prior knowledge of security architecture, firewalls, networks, risk assessments, and other security principles and frameworks. After the course, students will be able to identify types of cybersecurity architecture, as well as the key components for securing networks, systems, applications and data. They also will learn how to identify a cybersecurity incident and outline the phases of incident response.
Learners who complete the Cybersecurity Fundamentals Virtual Instructor-Led Training Course earn eight continuing professional education (CPE) hours. The course costs US $650 for ISACA members and US $850 for nonmembers. The price includes an on-demand 60-day course subscription. Additional information is available at www.isaca.org/Education/Training/Pages/cybersecurity-fundamentals.aspx.
