Schaumburg, IL, USA (20 June 2018) — Global business technology association ISACA will host information systems, technology, business professionals and experts from around the world during an upcoming Virtual Summit, providing expert insights and recommendations to improve organizations’ cybersecurity workforce development, intelligence-driven methods and approaches, and understanding of their current cybersecurity status.
Sponsored by Adobe, Deloitte and ISACA, the free State of Cybersecurity Virtual Summit will take place on Tuesday, 26 June 2018, at 10AM EDT/14:00 UTC. The half-day event will feature live presentations and opportunities for professionals to connect with peers around the world.
“The state of cybersecurity is constantly evolving and, while this is exciting, it’s also concerning for organizations,” said Frank Downs, Director of ISACA’s Cybersecurity Practice. “The upcoming Virtual Summit is just one way for professionals to continue their cybersecurity education and apply what they’ve learned in real-world situations.”
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with a panel of top professionals in a round-table cybersecurity discussion centered on threat environments and controls and countermeasures. Sessions include:
- State of Cybersecurity: 2018, presented by Theresa Grafenstine, past board chair of ISACA and Managing Director for Deloitte & Touche, and Frank Downs, Director of Cybersecurity for ISACA. Presenters will share the latest State of Cybersecurity research from ISACA, discussing the latest trends in cybersecurity workforce development, threat landscape, gender disparity and more.
- Board Director Concerns About Cyber and Technology Risk, presented by Rob Clyde, board chair of ISACA, executive chair of White Cloud Security and board director of Titus. Clyde will help attendees explore different ways to approaching their boards of directors when it comes to new technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, and augmented reality.
- Assessing Your Public Security Exposure Without Sending a Single Packet, presented by Peleus Uhley, lead security strategist at Adobe. Attendees will learn techniques for leveraging freely available data to create complete network graphs, track best practices and identify security issues.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a final interaction panel discussion after sessions and can earn up to four free continuing professional education (CPE) credits for attending the virtual conference.
