Schaumburg, IL, USA (25 June 2019) — Panels dedicated to discussing the technologies that have changed how we work and live – and what the future may bring – as well as exploring the changes to the professions that ISACA has served for the last five decades, are among the ways ISACA is celebrating its 50th anniversary year at the Africa CACS 2019 conference. The annual event for information systems audit, assurance, control, governance and security professionals will take place 19-20 August 2019 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The opening session will feature a special interactive presentation featuring video and images from the last 50 years of the information technology field, as well as look to the future and how it will be impacted by continually transforming technologies. The opening session will also include a panel titled, “From Disruptive to Daily Dependence: ISACA Pros Look Back and Look Forward to the Future in Technology.” The panelists will represent diverse experiences in leading enterprises, discussing how to make strategic business decisions while adopting emerging technologies.
Stafford Masie, former CEO of Google Africa and Non-Executive Board Member at ADvTECH, will share insights from his career in the field and discuss the future of technology in the Africa CACS 2019 closing keynote presentation. Masie, who is particularly interested in technology's impact on societies and different cultures, will be sharing his business insights and assessing current trends.
