About Our Chapter 


We are the London Chapter of ISACA (formerly the Information Systems Audit and Control Association), an international body that has been in existence since 1969.   ISACA London Chapter, the first in the UK, was established in 1981. Other UK Chapters  include Northern EnglandCentral EnglandWinchester, Scotland, and the Ireland Chapter (which covers both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland).

London Chapter has over 3,000 members who come from a wide cross-section of business including the accountancy and information systems professions, central and local government, the banking, manufacturing and service sectors and academia.

ISACA is the voice of the Information Systems Audit, IT Governance, Risk Management and Cyber Security professions. For nearly 50 years, ISACA has helped enterprises develop strong IT workforces by inspiring and equipping individuals to be more capable, valuable and successful in the fast-changing world of Information Technology and Business. By offering industry-leading knowledge, standards, credentialing and education, ISACA enables professionals to apply technology in ways that instil confidence, address threats, drive innovation and create positive momentum for their organizations. ISACA is the creator of the COBIT framework, which helps organizations effectively govern and manage their information and technology. Through its Cyber Security Nexus (CSX), ISACA helps organizations develop skilled cyber workforces and enables individuals to grow and advance their cyber security careers. Our Chapter goals and objectives are to promote ISACA’s standing in the Business and IT community, increase the Chapter membership and support existing members through maintaining certifications and knowledge.

ISACA London Chapter's focus is to:

  • Promote the education of and help expand the knowledge and skills of members in the inter-related fields of Auditing, Quality Assurance, Information Security and IT Governance;
  • Encourage a free exchange of IT Governance, Quality Assurance, and Information Security techniques, approaches and problem solving by members;
  • Promote adequate communication to keep members abreast of current events in IT Governance, Quality Assurance, and Information Security fields that can be of benefit to them and their employers;
  • Communicate to Management, Auditors, Universities and Information Security professionals the importance of establishing controls necessary to ensure the effective organisation and utilisation of data processing resources.

ISACA London Chapter holds regular conferences to help the community progress.

London Chapter Board of Directors

The new Board of Directors was elected at the AGM on the 22nd May 2018.

The Board performs several roles.  It is responsible for promoting the values and goals of ISACA International, providing member benefits and working with integrity to ensure the Company meets the standards set by International and the Companies Act 2006.  

The Chapter's successes rely heavily on each Board member and the cohort of volunteers.  The roles are becoming more demanding so that is why we have Apprentice roles, to formalise key aspects of volunteering and assist in succession-planning.  Each Apprentice will work with the relevant Director and has the opportunity to understand how the Chapter governs itself to achieve Member benefits within the framework provided by International and the Companies Act.


ISACA London Chapter organises and delivers professional conferences with a large number of participants from Industry.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on sponsorship to fund the operations of the Chapter and are always open to co-sponsorship of our events on an individual basis.

Volunteers Program

Members in the ISACA’s London Chapter volunteer program support the professional community and have the opportunity to drive the vision and development of new products that ISACA will be offering in future.

ISACA London Chapter is open to applications of volunteers and will happily discuss any opportunities with the interested parties.

Being a volunteer in a global network of professional, will provide you the opportunity to develop key relationships with industry leaders and professional that will contribute towards your career development and enhance your opportunities to learn new areas.

ISACA London Chapter volunteers will finally be awarded with CPE credits for their time investment while in volunteer opportunities.
