With technology playing an increasingly central role in enterprise success, IT leaders are under growing pressure to help drive revenue and enable business change. Maintaining the quality of IT service delivery is becoming more and more difficult due to increases in cloud computing adoption, mobile device use, autonomous employees and business units and threats to data privacy and security.
The COBIT Process Assessment Model (PAM): Using COBIT 5 provides a basis for assessing an enterprise’s processes against COBIT 5. The model is evidence-based to enable a reliable, consistent and repeatable way to assess IT process capabilities, which helps IT leaders gain C-level and board member buy-in for change and improvement initiatives.
COBIT Process Assessment Model (PAM): Using COBIT 5:
- The only assessment model that provides an enterprise-level view of IT process capability, providing an end-to-end business view of IT’s ability to create value
- Developed and based on the deep knowledge and experience of two widely recognized global leaders: ISACA and ISO
- Enables assessments by enterprises to support process improvement
- Helps business leaders link enterprise goals to enterprise-related IT goals

Note: In the ISO/IEC 15504 world, a significant detailed process assessment takes place at level 1, where the “specific”’ COBIT process activity assessment is done. ISO/IEC 15504 prescribes generic outcomes, base practices and work products to be assessed at the higher capability levels.
