Description of research

Information system (IS) development project failure is a costly problem. Because such failed projects can be politically sensitive matters they are often obscured from public view; and details of how such projects operate are not well understood. This research project aims to add to the body of knowledge surrounding IS development project failure. In particular, this study is designed to identify the most important characteristics of IS development projects that go out of control or become “runaways.”
