Introduction to COBIT 5 Course 

 

Join ISACA in San Francisco on 23 June 2012 to learn about the new COBIT 5 framework and earn 7 CPE.

This one-day course developed by ISACA COBIT experts provides an indepth look at COBIT 5, ISACA’s new governance framework. The course offers both existing practitioners and potential new COBIT users insight into the new framework and clarity on the differences between COBIT 4.1 and COBIT 5. Included in this course is an introduction to the new COBIT Assessment Programme using both COBIT 4.1 and COBIT 5.

At the conclusion of this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Discuss how IT management issues affect organizations
  • Understand the principles the Governance of Enterprise IT and explain the differences between management and governance
  • Assess how the COBIT 5 Processes help guide the creation of the five basic Principles and the seven Governance and Management Enablers
  • Discuss the COBIT 5 Enabler Guide, including the Goals Cascade and the Process Reference Model
  • Describe the basics of how to implement COBIT 5
  • Understand the differences between COBIT 4.1 and COBIT 5 and what to consider when transitioning
  • Explain the benefits of using COBIT 5
  • List the training, products and support ISACA provides for COBIT 5

This course is recommended for those preparing for additional COBIT 5 training, including the COBIT 5 Foundation Course, COBIT 5 Implementation Course and Assessor Program Training (available late 2012)—all of which include the ability to earn COBIT 5 certificates.

Cancellation Policy

If your plans change and you won’t be able to attend the course, contact us by phone, fax or email to cancel your registration. All cancellations must be received by 28 May 2012 to receive a refund of registration fees. A cancellation charge of US $50 will be subtracted from course refunds. No refunds can be given after 28 May 2012. Attendee substitution is permitted at any time until the conference. If a nonmember is substituting a member, then there will be additional nonmember fees.

NOTE: Registration is contingent upon full payment of the registration fee. To guarantee registration, conference and/or workshop fees must be received by the published deadline. It may take 10 or more business days for a wire transfer or mailed check to reach ISACA, so please plan accordingly. If, for any reason, ISACA must cancel a course or event, liability is limited solely to the registration fees paid. ISACA is not responsible for other expenses incurred, including travel and accommodation fees. Conference materials are not guaranteed to those who register onsite or fail to submit payment prior to the event.
