Course Description

Experience cybersecurity from both sides. ISACA’s Red Team / Blue Team Training Week enables you to see and experience organizational vulnerabilities as a hacker would—and embrace real-world tools and strategies professionals use to defend against their attacks.

One of the best ways to defeat cyber attackers is to see a target through their eyes and the CSX Penetration Testing Overview (CPTO) course will help you do just that. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the overall concepts guiding penetration testing from a practical, hands-on vantage point that will help you better protect enterprises, advance your career, and earn your CPTO certificate.

Armed with this knowledge, you can then better understand the side of the defender with the Accelerated CSX Cybersecurity Practitioner Certification Suite (CSX-P). This training presents the students with real-world scenarios where they learn to respond to attacks as they occur and an opportunity to earn the CSX-P certification. In-depth, lab experiences prep students for the attacks that cybersecurity professionals experience on a daily basis.

Join fellow IS/IT, information security and risk management professionals for 4 days of real-world, expert-led Red-Team/Blue-Team penetration testing training:

  • Red Team—take on the role of an ethical hacker. Work hands on with real-world systems and networks, and leverage real vulnerability analysis and exploitation tools in a live environment.
  • Blue Team—learn to defend against evolving cybersecurity threats. Build, hone and evaluate your technical cybersecurity skills through hands-on, skills-based labs conducted in the same live, real-world environment.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the CSX-P course, participants will be prepared with the following for success on the exam:

  • Understand how assailants identify and exploit network and organizational vulnerabilities.
  • Appreciate the risks to enterprise security based on real-world threats and attack surface weaknesses.
  • Identify the phases of a hacker attack and gain the understanding you need to map the threats into your security plans.
  • Understand real attack toolsets by using them, such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, and more!
  • Earn up to 44 CPEs.

*Please note: To fully participate in this event, all attendees are required to bring a laptop with an Internet accessible browser.

Registration for this event includes:

  • The opportunity to sit for the CPTO Certificate Exam and the CSX-P Certification Exam, both of which are offered on site, during the training week.
  • Access the CSX-P certification exam until 29 Feb 2020.

“This course allows you to work in a live environment gaining tactical hacking experience & also respond in real time to live incidents”

– Frank, Director of Cybersecurity Practice
