Mobile Malware

To what extent is mobile malware a significant threat to enterprises? There's alot of discussion about the vulnerabilities of certain mobile platforms, and noise about mobile malware, usually defined very broadly. Also, the prevalence of banking trojans is growing, but this is largely a consumer issue. Are we seeing significant enterprise breaches as a result of the mobile vector? Regards, Ross.

RE: Mobile Malware

Enterprise is at risk through the mobile vector. Although malware makes a very small part of that risk. The risk is mostly in behaviour of mobile device owners and the fact that many IT departments feel their responsibility ends at mobile device, stronger in BYOD situation.
How often I see high security for office environment including email, but email over Mobile device is open, even no screenlock. and even in a very small country like the Netherlands where I live, we have over 50.000 mobile devices in lost and found department of public transport. I worry not so much over malware on mobile device, I have bigger problems to tackle.
But it can differ from company to company.
