International President Emil D’Angelo, CISA, CISM, is senior vice president at the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, New Jersey, USA, where he is responsible for information security, disaster recovery, audit liaison and IT compliance. With more than 25 years in the financial services industry, he began his career in security and audit at Deloitte & Touche, where he worked on the development of the company’s audit software and spent 10 years in the management services division. He also worked at Chase, where he coordinated the global security and business continuity program, and at Marsh, where he established a security and business continuity program.
A member of ISACA for more than 30 years, D’Angelo has been actively involved with the association, serving on its Strategic Advisory Council and Governance Advisory Board, chairing the Security Management Committee, and serving as an ISACA director. He is a recipient of ISACA’s Eugene Frank Award, presented by the board of directors for outstanding contributions to ISACA or ITGI.

International Vice President George Ataya, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CISSP, founded and serves as academic director of the executive master in ICT audit and security at the Solvay Business School in Brussels, Belgium. In 2005, he started the executive master in IT governance at the same school. He is also managing partner of ICT Control SA-NV, a management consulting firm. Ataya was president of the ISACA Belux Chapter from 2002 to 2005. He has been part of numerous ISACA committees and has participated in the development of the COBIT and Val IT frameworks, the body of knowledge for the CISM certification and a CGEIT review course. He has also participated in IT governance seminars for CGEIT candidates and is a frequent speaker on the governance of enterprise IT, assurance and information security management. He currently serves on ISACA’s Framework Committee and was first elected international vice president of ISACA in 2006. |

International Vice President Yonosuke Harada, CISA, CISM, CAIS, is executive director of InfoCom Research Inc. and an engineering professor at Osaka University, Japan. He has 20 years of experience in telecommunication network planning and engineering, specifically in control and security of network architecture and design. Harada was president of the ISACA Tokyo Chapter from 2001 to 2003 and executive director of ITGI Japan from 2007 to 2008. He has also served on ISACA’s Research Board (1997-1998), Education Board (2004-2005) and Security Management Committee (2007-2008). He is now one of the ISO liaison officers who are bridging ITGI activities and ISO SC27 (Information Security Management) standardization, and also serves on ISACA’s Academic Relations Subcommittee and Professional Issues and Advocacy Committee. He has also contributed to several Japanese government projects for IT governance, security and assurance in which he introduced ISACA/ITGI products. |

International Vice President Ria Lucas, CISA, CGEIT, is a manager of the Investment Management Group at Telstra Corp. Ltd., Australia. Lucas has experience in internal and external IT audit, covering financial, operational and security systems in both public and private sectors and across a range of IT areas, including systems development, project management and business analysis. Before moving into audit and risk management in the telecommunications sector and focusing on IT investment management and governance, she was a senior director of IT audit with the Australian National Audit Office. Lucas is a past president of the ISACA Melbourne Chapter and has served as chair on the Technical Education Committee and the CISA Certification Board. She also served as director of ISACA’s Finance and Membership Boards (2007-2009) and is currently a member of ISACA’s Audit Committee.

International Vice President José Angel Peña Ibarra, CGEIT, is a partner at Alintec, a firm that provides international consulting and training services on IT audit, control and security. Previously, he was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was in charge of the consulting services to the information and communications sector in Mexico. He has also been a professor at several universities in Monterrey and has more than 25 years of professional experience. An active member of ISACA, Peña served as president of the ISACA Monterrey Chapter in 1992, 2004 and 2005. He was chairman of ISACA’s 2007 Latin America CACS Program Committee and also served as a member of the Latin America CACS Program Committee in 2005 and 2006. He is currently a member of ISACA’s Knowledge Board and Latin America Task Force. He is a regular conference speaker on topics related to IT audit, business continuity planning and internal control. Peña has been an international vice president of ISACA since 2007. |

International Vice President Robert E. Stroud, CGEIT, is vice president of IT service management and governance for the service management business unit at CA Inc., where he helps to ensure that the company’s solutions adhere to best practices in service management and governance. He joined CA from the Australian computer security company Cybec, where he held several management positions and was responsible for the company’s successful global expansion, culminating in its successful entry into the North American market. Earlier, he spent 15 years in the banking industry where he held several positions within the IT and retail banking sectors. A 25-year IT veteran, Stroud is a recognized industry speaker and leader. He has been actively involved in ISACA and ITGI as a member of the COBIT Steering Committee and a frequent speaker on COBIT and Val IT, and is currently a member of ISACA’s Framework Committee. He also serves on the itSMF International Board of Directors and was a member of the ITIL Version 3 Advisory Group. He has written numerous publications on IT industry standards and best practices, and has served as a reviewer for ITIL and COBIT mapping documents. He was first elected international vice president of ISACA in 2007. |

International Vice President Kenneth L. Vander Wal, CISA, CPA, is a retired national partner in the Technology and Security Risk Services (TSRS) practice of Ernst & Young, where he was responsible for the firm’s global TSRS quality and risk management program. With more than 35 years of IT experience, he has worked in multiple areas of information systems in a variety of industries, including systems development, systems programming, project management, quality assurance, IT auditing and systems security. Before joining Ernst & Young in 1979, Vander Wal worked at the Pentagon, where he developed systems to support the Department of Army staff, and for a computer software company in a systems technical support role. He is a coauthor of IT Control Objectives for Sarbanes-Oxley, 2nd Edition, published by ITGI, and serves on ISACA’s Guidance and Practices Committee, Knowledge Board, Professional Issues and Advocacy Task Force and Strategic Advisory Council. He has served as international vice president of ISACA since 2007. |

International Vice President Rolf von Roessing, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, is a retired partner and now an executive advisor at KPMG Germany. In addition to working at KPMG, he has experience in large international banks and insurance companies, where he was responsible for business continuity management and information security. He is a former member of the board of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), where he served from 2001-2008 and where he served as chair of the Audit Committee from 2003-2008. Von Roessing joined ISACA’s Security Management Committee in 2005. He chaired the working group for ITGI’s IT Control Objectives for Basel II publication and is currently a member of ISACA’s Framework Committee. He has published extensively on business continuity management, disaster recovery and security matters.

Director Greg Grocholski, CISA, is senior finance director at The Dow Chemical Company in Michigan, USA. At Dow Chemical, Grocholski leads the global cost accounting organization, is the global manager for Finance Information Technology applications and investment decisions, serves as the functional controller for many of the company’s executives, and leads the contract administration (joint venture accounting) group. He also serves on the Dow Chemical Employee’s Credit Union Supervisory (Audit) Committee and is a board member of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, vice president of Michigan Baseball Operations, chair of the ISACA Knowledge Board and a member of Northwood University’s Accounting Advisory Council. Grocholski has been an ISACA director since 2008 and also serves as a member of ISACA’s Audit Committee, Knowledge Board, Strategic Advisory Council and Professional Issues and Advocacy Task Force.

Director Tony Hayes, CGEIT, AFCHSE, CHE, FACS, FCPA, FIIA, was appointed executive director of the Service Delivery and Performance Commission in Queensland, Australia, in 2006. He has extensive experience across the Queensland public sector at the senior level in various departments such as the former Public Service Board and Queensland Health. Hayes has been a member of ISACA since 2003 and has served on several ISACA committees, including the IT Governance Committee. He is currently a member of ISACA’s Strategic Advisory Council and Relations Committee. Hayes is also a member of the Business Information Systems Advisory Committee for the School of Business at the University of Queensland. He has been an ISACA director since 2008.

Director Howard Nicholson, CISA, CGEIT, is a business analyst for the City of Salisbury, the second largest municipality in South Australia, where he provides risk and audit services. Prior to that, Nicholson owned a financial services company and served as an audit manager for Centrelink. He was an information systems auditor with the Department of Social Security for nine years. Nicholson is a past president of the Adelaide (Australia) Chapter and served as chair of ISACA’s Membership Board from 2001 to 2004. He also chaired ISACA’s CGEIT Certification Board and the work group charged with establishing closer relationships with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). He served as an international vice president of ISACA from 2004-2009 and currently is a member of ISACA’s Credentialing Board and Strategic Advisory Council.

Immediate Past International President Lynn Lawton, CISA, FBCS CITP, FCA, FIIA, is responsible for risk management in KPMG’s UK Risk Advisory Services function. She has more than 20 years of experience providing IT assurance services and security advice across a range of industries. A member of ISACA for the past 20 years, Lawton has served on the North of England UK Chapter Board for 10 years, including six years as chapter president. She also served on ISACA’s global Standards Board for four years, prior to chairing it for two years, and set up and chaired ISACA’s Governmental and Regulatory Agencies Board for three years and its Assurance Committee for one year. In addition, she was a vice president of ISACA’s International Board from 1999 to 2002, and returned to the International Board as an appointed director of ISACA in 2006. She was international president of ISACA from 2007-2009 and is currently a member of ISACA’s Strategic Advisory Council. She is also a member of the Programme Advisory Board for the CASS Business School’s MSc in Management, and a trustee of The University Women’s Club.

Past International President Everett C. Johnson Jr., CPA, is a retired partner from Deloitte & Touche (D&T) in Wilton, Connecticut, USA. He served as regional director of D&T’s enterprise risk services line and as a key leader for D&T's US e-business assurance initiative. He has more than 40 years of experience in audit, control and security matters and was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Accountants in America. He has served as chairman for the International Federation of Accountants Information Technology Committee and the AICPA Information Technology Research Subcommittee, and was a member of the AICPA Assurance Services Executive Committee. Johnson currently chairs the joint AICPA/CICA Privacy Task Force. He served as a vice president on ISACA’s International Board from 2002-2005 and as international president from 2005-2007. He is currently a member of ISACA’s Governance Advisory Council.
