Application for Certification Under the Grandfathering Provision

The Grandfathering Provision application requirements are:

1. Obtain an ISACA identification (ID) number;
2. Remit (pay) the appropriate application fee; and
3. Submit a completed CGEIT application for certification under the grandfathering provision.

1. Obtain an ISACA Identification (ID) Number

You already have an ISACA ID number if you are a member, prior member, CISA, CISM, purchaser, or created on online account for any other purpose. If so, please login to the site to determine your ID number, which is provided on the page upon a successful login. In addition, please ensure that your profile (My Profile) information is current.

If you do not already posses an ISACA ID number, you may obtain one by creating an online profile at www.isaca.org/profile. After creating your online account, navigate to My ISACA to determine your ID number. If you have any questions or difficulty, please contact feedback@isaca.org.

2. Remit the Application Fee

The payment of an application fee is required to be considered for CGEIT certification under the grandfathering provision. The amount of the fee is dependent on your ISACA membership or certification status at the time of receipt of your payment as follows:

In order to take advantage of the ISACA member fee, applicants must be a current member, or purchase an ISACA membership prior to submitting their application fee. To purchase an ISACA membership please go to www.isaca.org/membership.

Payment Options:

• Online—At the conclusion of the payment process you will provide your credit card details or indicate that you will follow-up with sending a wire or check.
  
  Select the applicable purchase based on your ISACA certification status – your membership status will automatically be determined once you are required to login:
  • I am a CISA and/or CISM (Subject to verification by ISACA)

  • I am NOT a CISA or CISM

• Faxable Form—(Form will be provided at a later date).

Please note: Your application for certification will not be processed until fees have been paid in full. Payment is due at or before the time of application.

Refund Policy

Your application fee includes a non-refundable application processing fee of US$100. Applicants who withdraw their application or who have their application denied by the CGEIT Certification Board will receive a refund less the US$100 application processing fee.

Carefully follow the instructions to complete your application. Be sure that you complete all appropriate sections and sign your application. Incomplete or unsigned applications will not be accepted. In order for your application to be processed, you must collect and submit all supporting documentation (verification of work experience form(s), copies of certification, certificates, transcripts, diplomas and letters) and mail or fax them along with your application to:
