SheLeadsTech Luncheon | 1 June 2018 | Mariott Hotel, 515 Queen Street, Brisbane
ISACA's SheLeadsTech program seeks to increase the representation of women in technology leadership roles and the tech workforce.
To raise awareness of the SheLeadsTech Program, ISACA Brisbane Chapter is holding a luncheon event on 1 June 2018. During the luncheon, we will address the issue of the growing workforce gap for women in technology, including cyber security roles from entry levels to senior executives.
Through participation and partnerships with governments and private enterprises world-wide, the SheLeadsTech program plans to drive change and to end gender inequality across the technology profession. The Program’s three pillars are:
RAISING AWARENESS - We will work to educate employees, allies and engaged professionals so that we can overcome unconscious bias.
PREPARING TO LEAD - Our training and skills development programs will prepare the next generation of female leaders for the digital future.
BUILDING GLOBAL ALLIANCES - Through strategic partnerships, we will amplify our impact beyond the ISACA network and support our chapters as they tackle the unique challenges in their country or region.
The format of our event includes a key note speech followed by a panel discussion. Each panelist will give a presentation, after which there will be questions and answers from the floor.
Panel participants at the event, to be held at the Brisbane Mariott Hotel, will include:
ISACA Board Director and chair of the organization’s Women’s Leadership Council
Jo Stewart-Rattray, ISACA board director and director of information security and IT Assurance, BRM Holdich, was part of the Australian Government delegation to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in March 2018, where she lent her expertise on empowering rural women and girls through the use of technology.
