Call for Speakers 

 
 

We are conducting a call for speakers to identify potential speakers for our Annual Cyber Security Conference scheduled for August 25, 2016 located at the University of Houston Main Campus.

 

We generally have presentations for 50 minutes each including Q&A; however, we are open to different presentation styles and durations (e.g. traditional, panel, rapid fire or unconference styles).  Furthermore, we plan to have different tracks of topics.  For example, there can be tracks for security, privacy or data analytics, etc.

 

Speakers that are approved to present can earn 1 CPE for the presentation, and a maximum of 3 additional CPEs to account for preparation time. You claim those CPEs yourself, as the chapter is not required or expected to provide a certificate for those, after you have spoken on our behalf.

If you are interested in speaking, please provide a 1) resume, 2) bio, and 3) an abstract of your intended topic (100-500 words), which will include 3-5 takeaways for the audience. We will also want to see your slides prior to presentation, and to be able to share those with our members after the presentation. Your topic will be reviewed by the committee in planning next steps.
