The Membership Committee coordinates our quarterly membership meetings, providing members with Chapter updates and educational presentations on current topics of interest. We also plan annual award dinners and other special events such as conferences and golf outings.
Membership meetings and events provide an excellent opportunity to network with fellow Chapter members and professionals peers - and networking is a vital part of keeping up with current technology and trends.

November 4, 2016 - Membership Meeting on Long Island
A half day membership meeting was held on November 4 at the Huntington Hilton on Long Island. The event featured presentations and discussions on Cyber Security and the Internet of Things (IoT). A special thanks to ISACA’s own Farid Abdelkader and Rise Jacobs for their time and efforts in making the event a success for all attendees. October 28, 2016 - Fall Cybersecurity Event and Membership Meeting
The Cybersecurity Event and Fall Membership Meeting was held on October 28, 2016 at Citi at 153 East 53rd Street, New York, NY. This event was a full day Cybersecurity training event and eligible for 8 CPE credits. There were over 120 members and non-members in attendance for the presentation sessions, chapter updates and the following networking event. Presentations by Praveen Nallasamy, Cyril Korenbeusser, Charles Surendra and Chris Moschovitis covered the following topics: Cybersecurity Trends, Cybersecurity Strategy, Effective Security Strategy, and Developing a Pragmatic Cybersecurity Program. September 15, 2016 - 11th Annual Golf Outing and Membership Meeting -
North Shore Towers Country Club
The Chapter’s 11th Annual Golf Outing was kickoff with a great presentation by Allan Cytryn of Risk Masters International on The Geopolitics of Cyber Security. We continued the day with our traditional fun-filled afternoon of golf at the North Shore Towers Country Club in Floral Park.

The Membership Committee hosted a special volunteer social for our current volunteers and all who have expressed interested in volunteering to learn about Chapter volunteer opportunities and chat with the Chapter Board of Directors. March 10, 2016 - Winter Social
March 10 was a very special day. ISACA's International President Christos Dimitriadis and CEO Matt Loeb visited with the Chapter's Officers. Later that evening, they participated in our Bowling event along with 60+ Chapter members. As you can see in the photos below and to the right, everyone had a really good time. Christos and Matt received an enthusiastic welcome from our Members who were thrilled to have an opportunity to meet ISACA VIPs.
