February Event: Please join the Jacksonville Chapter on Friday, February 23, 2018 for an all-day training event at the Florida Blue Conference Center presented by Shawna M Flanders (CRISC, CISM, CISA, SSBB), Director of Instructional Technology and Innovation MIS Training Institute. Shawna will present "2018 Cybersecurity Ethics and Auditing Corporate Culture IT Emerging Trends" .

Corporate ethics training has long been a part of annual training initiatives for many organizations and has been the focus of ethics audits for decades. Today, when we talk about ethics we need to go beyond the typical discussions and expand our scope to discuss the implications of technology related decisions, specifically how moral judgement plays into the ethics of Information Security control monitoring and reporting. By the end of the morning session attendees will have a better understanding of the relationship between ethics and Information Security. We all know there is a correlation between corporate culture and ethical behavior and many regulators are factoring culture into their determination of an enterprises overall soundness. Situations including mergers, acquisitions, workforce reduction, bankruptcy, cyber-attacks, senior management turnover and downturns in the market, reduced stock value or lower than expected profits can impact the corporate culture or even the best organizations which is why Auditing Corporate Culture is on a growing number of audit plans in 2018. By the end of the afternoon session you will have a better understanding of how to scope and conduct a corporate culture audit.
