About the NJ ISACA Chapter
One of ISACA’s many strengths has been and will always be its support at the local level through its global Chapter network. The New Jersey ISACA Chapter is one of over 200 chapters worldwide providing a wide range of benefits to its members including education, resource sharing, advocacy, and professional networking.
ISACA was started in 1967, when a small group of like-minded individuals with similar roles —auditing controls in computer systems that were becoming increasingly critical to the operation of their organizations—sat down to discuss the need for a centralized source of information and guidance in the field. In 1969, the group formalized and incorporated as the EDP Auditors Association. Soon after this success, the Association formed an education foundation in 1976 to undertake large-scale research efforts that would expand the knowledge and value of the IT governance and control field.
Founded in June of 1978, the New Jersey Chapter of ISACA currently boasts a membership of well over 1,700 IT and IT-related professionals in audit, compliance, governance, risk, and security. Embodying ISACA principles, the New Jersey ISACA Chapter is committed to:
Encouraging Diversity in Membership
