Nearing its 50th year, ISACA (isaca.org) is a global association helping individuals and enterprises achieve the positive potential of technology. Today’s world is powered by technology, and ISACA equips professionals with the knowledge, credentials, education and community to advance their careers and transform their organizations. ISACA leverages the expertise of its half-million engaged professionals in information and cyber security, governance, assurance, risk and innovation, as well as its enterprise performance subsidiary, CMMI Institute, to help advance innovation through technology. ISACA has a presence in more than 188 countries, including more than 217 chapters and offices in both the United States and China..
The Sydney Chapter is one of over 200 global chapters made up of 110,000 members; established in 1976 and currently has over 1,300 members, consisting of Risk, Assurance, Governance and Security professionals.
Sydney Chapter in its 40th year and in October 2016, we organised a one-day conference, where renowned speakers explored opportunities and innovations in within the industry. During the past year, Sydney Chapter has focused on advancing our membership experience, increasing volunteer opportunities, and exploring innovation within our members' professions. We proudly celebrated our past and now look to the future in 2017, as we continue to provide professional development, networking and volunteer opportunities to our members.
Our Chapter’s mission is to provide exceptional value to our members, by providing the following services:
Sydney Chapter board endeavours to provide opportunities for the members to enhance their professional knowledge, in order to implement good practices based on ISACA's knowledge base; and continuously provides validation of their professional knowledge and skills by earning and maintaining ISACA certifications.

Volunteer Experience Program
2016 saw the introduction of our new Volunteer Experience initiatives and we received interest from a number of industry professionals that are looking to make a difference and enhance their career.
