Adelaide Chapter events are key to creating a community of like-minded professionals and sharing knowledge with your peers. Throughout the year, Adelaide chapter hosts regular professional development sessions, usually on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 PM.
Please check back often for updates on upcoming events designed just for you. If you have suggestions for an event, please use the Contact form on the About Our Chapter page to send your comments to chapter leadership.
Continuing Professional Education Credits
Attendance at the professional development sessions will earn the attendee CPE credits. The number of CPE credits will be advertised on the promotional flyer for each event. There will be a charge (normally between $10 and $20) for non-members attending these sessions. This fee will be waived if the person becomes a member of ISACA by registering at or before the event. This year we have arranged with the Australian Computer Society (ACS) SA Branch for their members to attend the professional development sessions at the same cost (normally no cost) as that charged to ISACA members.

Conferences
Two premier events for our members are ISACA's World Congress and Oceania CACS.
Oceania CACS 2012 - Wellington, New Zealand
This year's Oceania CACS will take place at Te Papa (Museum of New Zealand) from Monday 10th September 2012 to Wednesday 12th September 2012. This conference is organised by Wellington and Auckland ISACA chapters with a theme focused on "embracing uncertainty and delivering value in turbulent times". Visit the Oceania CACS 2012 website for more information, registrations or to submit your paper.
The theme of Oceania CACS 2012 is “embracing uncertainty and delivering value in turbulent times”. Papers will be presented through the following work streams:
- Get it right - Individuals and organisations each have a unique set of fundamentals that must operate successfully to navigate through turbulent times. This stream focuses on the value of information system risk, governance and assurance as key enablers of these fundamentals
- React and secure - Changing landscapes present new threats and risks to information system resources that must be actively managed. This stream focuses on the value of information system security and its role in protecting and enabling the appropriate and efficient use of organisational resources
- Respond and strengthen - Whilst fundamentally challenging, uncertainty and turbulent times introduce opportunities for individuals and organisations to adapt, strengthen and benefit. This stream focuses on strategies, methods and skills that allow individuals and organisations to understand the changing environment, react positively, develop a robust response approach and benefit accordingly.
The Paper Submission form is available from the www.oceaniacacs2012.org website and update the fields directly within the Paper Submission section on the following page. Please email this submission as an attachment to CACS2012@isaca-wellington.org.
Paper submissions close on Friday, 13 April 2012. The CACS 2012 organising committee will evaluate all paper submissions and will respond directly to you by Friday, 4 May 2012.
