President's Message

A Message from the Greater Hartford Chapter President.

Happy New Year!  As you can see above, the Greater Hartford Chapter has once again been recognized by ISACA international as one of ISACA’s outstanding chapters. Honorable mentions are given to chapters who did not win the K. Wayne Snipes award, however, still excelled as a top chapter throughout the year. I congratulate each and every board member and members of the Communications and marketing Committees, that have contributed to our continued success. This would not have been possible, if not for the hard work and dedication of the Greater Hartford Chapter Board Members and Volunteers.

Thank You, for a your continued support and membership.

ISACA-GHC Spring 2017 Certification Training

ISACA-GHC Spring 2017 Certification Training

These courses will be held on on either Saturday or Sunday from 4/22/17 through 6/4/17.

CISA on Satuday AM, CISM on Saturday PM,
CRISC on Sunday AM,

Note Deadlines --> You must register for Exam by 6/23/17 and for Training by 4/13/17.

The Greater Hartford Chapter understands the challenges of preparing for taking ISACA certification exams. The Certification Committee recognized the value of having an instructor-led classroom for preparing for the exam, addressing questions, and gaining valuable tips in taking the exam. We have had a high-percentage of those attending prior classes passing their first exam. The Chapter will be offering CISA, CISM, and CRISC review courses this Fall. Classes are based on ISACA approved materials and are taught by currently certified Chapter volunteers. The cost is set with the objective of covering Chapter expenses.

As many of you are aware, obtaining ISACA certification is expected for career advancement and mandatory for practicing IT audit in several industries and certain employers. If you are considering taking one of the ISACA exams between May and June, please consider taking advantage of one of the preparatory courses offered by the Chapter.
