IMPORTANT UPDATE ABOUT THE COBIT 5 CERTIFIED ASSESSOR PROGRAM

Please be advised that effective as of 7 October 2019, ISACA will no longer accept new COBIT 5 Certified Assessor applications. Please see frequently asked questions below (FAQs)

Is the COBIT 5 Assessor certificate exam still available?

ISACA will continue to support COBIT 5 Assessor training and certificate exams through our Accredited Trainers and Training Partners.  Individuals can still earn the COBIT 5 Assessor certificate however will no longer have the option to apply for certification.

I am a COBIT 5 Certified Assessor, is my certification still valid?

ISACA will continue to support existing COBIT 5 Certified Assessors. Any changes or updates to this program will be communicated as they are available. Existing COBIT 5 Certified Assessors may continue to renew their certification.

What is the value of renewing my COBIT 5 Certified Assessor certification?

The COBIT 5 Certified Assessor credential demonstrates your proficiency as a highly competent IT and business professional who has been trained in performing COBIT-based IT process assessments and have experience in planning, building, running and/or monitoring IT processes.

Many enterprises are still using COBIT 5 and/or are in the process of transitioning from previous versions of COBIT to COBIT 2019. The benefit for you to stay certified is a personal choice, which may be based upon your current business environment, COBIT 5 use and COBIT 2019 adoption, among other factors.

Are there near term plans to develop a COBIT 2019 Assessor Program?
