Course Description

This virtual instructor led course will provide attendees an high-level overview of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), provide the framework for developing a GDPR readiness and compliance plan, and provide guidance on how to implement a GDPR plan. This course will utilize the included Implementing the General Data Protection Regulation publication by ISACA.

The Global Data Protection Regulation impacts global enterprises and many stakeholders within those enterprises with its focus on data protection and privacy. As such, it requires input and thought from many disciplines within an organization, including legal, technical, risk, compliance, and the day-to-day professional that touches personal data of others in the course of their job function. While data protection and privacy (DPP) practitioners and IT staff undoubtedly represent the group most deeply involved with GDPR, various other stakeholders such as executive management and vendors that process data for enterprises are also impacted.
