Madrid – ISACA, a global association and leader in emerging technology training and certification, is contributing to the training of Spain’s National Cybersecurity Team as part of the Cybersecurity Summer BootCamp 2025, organized by the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE).
This initiative brings together public institutions, international experts, and emerging talent. As part of the programme, ISACA has delivered specialized training in Cybersecurity Fundamentals and its Certified Cybersecurity Operations Analyst (CCOA) certification to 20 members of the Spanish National Cybersecurity Team. The goal is to strengthen their practical skills as they prepare to represent Spain in international competitions such as the European Cybersecurity Challenge.
These certifications equip students with hands-on operational skills that are highly sought after in the job market, helping them transition into cybersecurity roles in both the public and private sectors. In particular, CCOA is designed to prepare professionals to respond to real-world incidents from day one, with training focused on threat detection, alert management, and vulnerability analysis.
In addition to the technical training, participants receive a one-year complimentary membership to the global ISACA community, which includes more than 185,000 professionals in 190 countries. This provides access to mentorship, international networking opportunities, and continuous professional development.
“As a global learning organization, ISACA believes in the value of building connections and community to amplify the impact of our educational offerings for students and professionals,” says Chris Dimitriadis, Chief Global Strategy Officer at ISACA. “This collaboration with INCIBE enables us to open new learning pathways and engage in meaningful conversations about the future of cybersecurity.”
This partnership forms part of a broader strategy by ISACA to support young and diverse cybersecurity talent across Europe. The association is actively involved in initiatives such as She@Cyber (an Erasmus+ project promoting the participation of young women in cybersecurity), institutional alliances like its recent agreement with the Cybersecurity Agency of the Community of Madrid, and other programmes focused on applied technical skills. All of these efforts reinforce ISACA’s commitment to early-stage talent development and the creation of a more inclusive, ethical, and resilient digital ecosystem.
