How to get AAIR certified
You’ve prepared by doing the work, taken the exam and are now ready to apply for your AAIR™ Certification. Let’s make sure you have everything you need:
Prior to sending your application, you must meet the following requirements:
- Have an active CRISC® or a qualified advanced-risk credential. SEE FULL LIST
- Pass the AAIR Exam within the last five years.

Pay the one-time US$50 application processing fee
- Once your official exam scores have been released, you may pay the application fee and then apply for certification.
- Login to your MYISACA account to access the application processing fee.
Candidates must apply for certification within five years of having passed the exam.

Successfully complete the AAIR examination
The AAIR exam is open to active CRISC holders and qualified advanced-risk certification holders. VIEW FULL LIST. When you take the AAIR exam, we will send you your results, and if you pass, you will receive the details you need to apply for your AAIR certification. Candidates have five years from the passing date to apply for certification.
Maintain and hold an active qualifying certification
AAIR candidates must hold an active CRISC or another select qualified designation. VIEW FULL LIST.
Earn & report CPE hours
Once a candidate has been certified they will need to earn and report CPE starting the calendar year after they receive the certification. 10 hours of CPE in the specialized domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be required annually. If these CPEs satisfy the requirements for other ISACA certifications, they may also count toward those designations.
