The newly released 2024 ISACA Annual Report highlights ISACA’s renewed focus on preparing members to thrive amid the dynamic technology landscape.
From creating new artificial intelligence training to the release of the Digital Trust Ecosystem Framework (DTEF) to initiating a new cybersecurity credential, Certified Cybersecurity Operations Analyst (CCOA), ISACA in 2024 identified new opportunities to help members future-proof their careers. The ISACA community also collaborated to create new mission and vision statements that underscore a commitment to supporting members at all stages of their career journeys.
“There is no topic that was as top of mind throughout our community in 2024 as how AI will impact our professional fields,” wrote ISACA CEO Erik Prusch and ISACA Board Chair John De Santis in a joint letter in the annual report. “Whether you’re in security, risk, audit, privacy, governance, or a related IT field, the time has arrived where AI is recalibrating your role or soon will be. ISACA research shows that 85% of digital trust professionals believe they will need to increase their AI skills and knowledge within two years to keep their careers moving in the right direction.
“With that in mind, in 2024, ISACA released eight new training courses on AI, covering critical topics such as AI governance, AI for auditors and AI ethics, along with an AI audit toolkit and extensive thought leadership on AI. We will continue adding to our AI portfolio to provide guidance on the connection points between this powerful technology and the digital trust disciplines.”
In addition to the joint letter, the annual report includes numerous organizational highlights from 2024, information about ISACA’s Board of Directors and Leadership Team, a detailed recap of ISACA’s financials from the year, and more.
