The CMMC Delta Training is a focused update course designed to bring practitioners, assessors, consultants, and organizational stakeholders current on what has changed across the CMMC program. It distills recent rule updates, assessment process changes, and ecosystem terminology into a practical, digestible format so participants can confidently adjust their compliance and assessment preparation efforts.
What this course covers:
- Rule and policy updates driving CMMC 2.0 implementation
- Overview of the final program rules and phased implementation timeline, with particular emphasis on Phase 1 (November 10, 2025–November 9, 2026) and what it means for Level 1/Level 2 self-assessments and SPRS affirmations.
- How CMMC 2.0 streamlines requirements to three levels and aligns with NIST standards (e.g., NIST SP 800‑171/171A), and how that affects scoping, evidence, and readiness.
- Assessment process changes
- The current CMMC Assessment Process (CAP) expectations, planning artifacts, readiness activities (e.g., CARR), and the way assessment objectives map to practices and evidence.
- What has shifted in validation, documentation, and reporting, including implications for re-tests and program tracking.
- Ecosystem updates and roles
- Clarifying the roles of The Cyber AB (formerly CMMC‑AB) and CAICO in training and certification, and how Approved Training Providers (ATP) deliver Cyber AB Approved Training Material (CATM).
- Vocabulary and term changes
- A baseline glossary that covers updated and commonly used terms (e.g., Affirmation in SPRS, CAP artifacts, ATP/APP, CATM, CCP/CCA/CCI, FCI vs. CUI), with concise definitions and “what changed/why it matters” callouts.
