Human Judgment in the Age of AI-Driven Cybersecurity

Description: Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming cybersecurity operations, from automated vulnerability discovery and exploit development to real-time threat detection and advanced behavioral analysis. Recent examples of AI-assisted security research, including the use of advanced AI systems to accelerate vulnerability identification and exploit chaining, signal a major shift in how organizations approach threat hunting and cyber defense. But as AI accelerates cybersecurity capabilities, it also raises critical questions: What unique value do humans still bring to cybersecurity operations? How will AI reshape threat hunting and vulnerability management careers? What new risks emerge when organizations rely heavily on AI-driven security tools? How can leaders ensure AI enhances digital trust rather than undermining it? This session explores the evolving relationship between human expertise and AI-powered cybersecurity operations. Participants will examine how AI is changing the speed and scale of cyber defense while highlighting the human capabilities that remain essential, including strategic judgment, adversarial thinking, governance, ethics, prioritization, and executive decision-making. The webinar will also address the growing impact of AI on the cybersecurity workforce, including the disruption of traditional entry-level roles, the emergence of new hybrid cyber-AI positions, and the urgent need for organizations to redesign workforce development and governance strategies.
