Privacy and Data Protection - Simulation

Where professionals become experts.

»
St. Louis, MO
23-26 March 2020

St. Louis, MO

Course Description

Organizations are increasingly recognizing the risks and benefits that privacy brings to their doorsteps. Rising costs of compliance are matched only by the rising costs of penalties and fines for privacy violations. For organizations that choose to make privacy a priority, or in those instances that a regulator or the marketplace makes that choice for them, operationalizing a mature privacy program is a top priority.

This course brings the daily life of a Chief Privacy Officer into the classroom. It is designed to broadly cover the major responsibilities of a CPO, such as conducting privacy impact assessments and managing privacy breaches, by conducting a series of tabletop exercises. Each day of the course includes an overview refresher of pertinent privacy concepts and strategies and then puts those practices into place.

At the end of the course, participants can expect to have conducted exercises while playing the role of various stakeholders (CPO, legal, IT, IS, marketing, etc.) at various organizations.
