UK Cyber Security Council Established to Strengthen Skill Sets, Collaboration

Over 100,000 cyber roles come up in the UK each year, yet half of companies state they have a basic skills gap and a third struggle to fill those roles. ISACA^® is proud to help champion the cybersecurity profession as a founding member of the Cyber Security Alliance, which is delivering the UK Cyber Security Council Formation Project on behalf of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport and the National Cyber Security Centre.

Launching in early 2021, the Council is an important initiative that focuses on growing and professionalizing the UK’s cyber skills base, ensuring its continuation as world leader in cybersecurity. It will do this by supporting organizations and professionals seeking structured and accredited training and certification, and through providing access to the latest thinking and practices to tackle the challenges of the future—values at the heart of the ISACA mission.
