As we reach the final months of 2026, now is a great time to reflect on your professional goals and prepare for the opportunities awaiting in the new year.
But let’s not call it a year just yet! Whether you’re aiming to accelerate your career advancement, strengthen your professional network, or stay updated with the latest trends in digital trust, there are worthwhile opportunities still to add – and check off – your 2026 to-do list.
Before the year concludes, ensure you’re ready to face 2027 with confidence and momentum. Here are five items to prioritize in the latter stages of the year:
- Renew your ISACA membership. Make sure your member benefits remain intact and your professional network remains world-class in 2027 by renewing your ISACA membership. Opt into auto-pay to save US$10 on your membership renewals and you won’t miss membership or certification payments. Enable it here: https://www.isaca.org/store2/my-account/membership.
- Commit to mentoring or being a mentee in the new year. ISACA’s professional community offers unmatched opportunities to learn from remarkable peers and to uplift the next generation of digital trust professionals – take advantage! The ISACA Mentorship Program facilitates one-to-one mentorship connections and brings together ISACA members at all stages of their careers who want to give or receive professional development support. If you have not yet taken part, now is the time to make your mark on this popular program.
- Ensure you have the Continuing Professional Education credits needed to maintain your certifications. Explore opportunities to earn your remaining needed CPEs by end of year to maintain your certifications, learn how to report your CPE here, and while you are at it, familiarize yourself with ISACA’s CPE policy changes for 2027 to plan ahead for the new year.
- Attend the ISACA Virtual Conference. Close the year strong by gaining the expert insights you need to build professional momentum and gather new ideas for the new year. The ISACA 2026 Virtual Conference will be 1-3 December, including one-day passes available for focused, regional experiences.
- Tell a student in your life about the ISACA Student Summit. Do you know a university student who might be interested in pursuing a career in technology and digital trust? If so, let them know about ISACA’s upcoming Student Summit in early 2027. The summit will provide a career kick-start to help student understand how to build early-career momentum, as well as networking opportunities and sessions focused on developing in-demand career skills.
